Welcome to The Groom Room!

I am Beatrix and The Groom Room is my small business venture. I have always been close to animals; my family has always had dogs and cats, I grew up with a German Shepherd Persian cat. I have been riding horses since I was 7.  Also had a few other pets, such as a hamster, guinea pigs, bunny rabbits, terrapins and the family home often served as a nursing home for injured birds and hedgehogs.

Moving to Finland in 2023 prompted me to be creative and I dived into grooming. I am a qualified dog groomer and my education also covered nutrition, behavior besides the technical part of grooming.  I love the creativity behind grooming and I think it’s great that one can make a dog look and feel good, but first and foremost comes the pets’ well-being.

At home, I currently have a 10-year-old Jack Russell Terrier called Elton and hoping to add new additions to the furry family sometime soon. We love to go on adventures, such as hikes, paddle-boarding and travelling. In my free time I also do irish dance, sewing, painting and learning new languages.
